These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Puffy. By creating an account or using any part of the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted these Terms in their entirety.

The App operates with an offline-first architecture, meaning your journal entries are stored locally on your device and synchronized with our servers when an internet connection is available.
To use Puffy, you must create an account using one of our supported authentication methods:
Puffy never stores or manages passwords. You are responsible for maintaining the security of the Apple account or email inbox you use to sign in.
You agree to provide accurate information during registration and to keep your account credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. If you suspect unauthorized access to your account, please contact us immediately at support@trypuffy.app.
You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account and use the Service. If you are under 18, you must have parental or guardian consent to use Puffy.
Puffy is free to download. Voice recording, playback, and mood tagging on the feelings wheel are free and stay free.
Puffy Pro is an optional auto-renewable subscription that unlocks AI transcription of your entries, weekly AI insights and reflections, search, and cloud backup. Pro is offered as a yearly plan (US $39.99 per year, with a 7-day free trial for new subscribers) and a monthly plan (US $6.99 per month). Prices in other regions are shown in the App Store before purchase.
If prices change, we will provide notice through the App Store before the change affects you.
"User Content" refers to all audio recordings, journal entries, emotion tags, transcriptions, and any other data you create or store through the Service.
You agree to use Puffy only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service if we determine, in our sole discretion, that you have violated these Terms.
The Service, including its design, code, branding, graphics, the Puffy mascot character, and all related materials, is the intellectual property of Puffy and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
These Terms do not grant you any right, title, or interest in the Service or its intellectual property, except for the limited right to use the Service as described herein. All rights not expressly granted are reserved by Puffy.
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Puffy does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any defects will be corrected. We do not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of AI-generated transcriptions.
Puffy is a personal journaling tool and is not a substitute for professional mental health care, therapy, or medical advice. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact a qualified healthcare provider or emergency services immediately.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Puffy and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or loss of goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of or inability to use the Service.
In no event shall Puffy's total aggregate liability exceed the amount you have paid to Puffy in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or fifty US dollars ($50), whichever is greater.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages. In such jurisdictions, our liability shall be limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.
You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us at support@trypuffy.app or through the account settings in the App.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Reasons for termination may include, but are not limited to, violations of these Terms, prolonged inactivity, or discontinuation of the Service.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We may, but are not obligated to, retain your data for a reasonable period to allow you to export it. After this period, your data may be permanently deleted.
Sections 5 (User Content - Ownership), 7 (Intellectual Property), 8 (Disclaimers), 9 (Limitation of Liability), and 11 (Governing Law) shall survive any termination of these Terms.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If a resolution cannot be reached, the dispute shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in India.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you through the App or via email.
Your continued use of the Service after the updated Terms take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Service and terminate your account.
